Cheers Bernie.tempusmaximus wrote:Very nice Guy , goes well on that strap .
Eventually got a strap sorted out with David @ Vintagewatchstraps.
He made one for me (well two actually, also got a black one) with a NOS deployant buckle which, in the tan version, near as dammit matches the pigskin strap that my Father used to wear the watch on.

Just needs a bit of wearing in.

That looks brilliant, Guy. David does make some nice straps and as we have seen from Bernie's links to his site, he is very knowledgeable and likes to get things right.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:Eventually got a strap sorted out with David @ Vintagewatchstraps.

^^^Thanks Bernie. I bought it a few years ago, as I wanted something understated to wear for our youngest daughter's wedding. She has been known to borrow it when they come to stay, so there is still hope that at least some of today's youngsters will have an interest in watches.

Very nice. My birth year!nbg wrote:Starting the day with a 1958 Seamaster.
Both my oldest and youngest daughters (there are four of them) have a small collection of watches (6 and 4 respectively). They're proper watches too, not fashion ones.nbg wrote:I bought it a few years ago, as I wanted something understated to wear for our youngest daughter's wedding.
