Vintage watch of the day (30 years+)
Re: Vintage watch of the day (30 years+)
The all-steel Darwil day-date looks to be amazing condition.
The one with the skinny black bezel is cool in an old school fifty fathoms way.

Yep. I have almost same nick on all forums.
The "diver" Darwil will need a lot work. Bezel is worn out, tritium is completely black and gone, movement needs complete rehaul...
The other one has localised day wheel. "Cet" stands for "cetvrtak" or thursday on Slovenian.
Unfortunately,I have opsession with vintage watches...they are quite tricky, always in need of rehauls and not so practical, due to near non-existant water resistance. And small, and I have large wrists.
But still wear them.
In fact it is unusual for me to have watch that is larger than 37 mm,water resistant and does not need service

I think you have a 47mm Dievas Kampfschwimmer (which is very pretty)...

...probably best homage out there. Case is au pair with original. And I am not talking out of blue, friend owns PAM so I had them compared. Stunning. And not screwdown crown is better solution for handwinding.

Not Condor as such. No actual name on it. It is made in Italy and retailed by Dipples, a Norwich jeweller.

Re: Vintage watch of the day (30 years+)
probably. Actually I have no idea. friend gave it to me:
"here, found it in a drawer. Have no idea how it got there, where it came from. I know you like that kind of stuff"
It is in near NOS condition
just put new battery in, old thing coughed and started to work...and then presented it to my wife. Thought it would be a great idea for her to have ultra turbo cool hipster watch.
Hipsters would kill for it, since F91W is soooo...you know...common.
and then she gave me the look:

so I had to put it on my wrist
actually I have found bunch of them on hungarian and polish auction sites. theyre some kind of eastern block Casios. No functions, just light, date and seconds on demand.
really high tech

This is mid 80's, so I think this just about qualifies here.

Soon for sale.

Re: Vintage watch of the day (30 years+)
great watches indeed.
had something similar, I think it is in Singapore now...7t27 with "L" dial. Not military watch per se but it had military markings on the back:

according to some (unconfirmed) info, engraving is of Swedish Air Force. Guy I got it from got it from his brother who worked in Swedish Air Force.
