Re: Vintage watch of the day (30 years+)
I found this Bulova amongst my grandfather's jewelry shop things, most likely a customer dropped it off to be repaired and never came back for it once they heard the cost to fix it. The movement runs, but stops when the dial is in the up position, also it seems that the minute hand rubs against the inside of the acrylic, also slowing it down at certain times.
The lume on the hands had mostly disintegrated, so I opened up the case and removed the dust as best I could, gently blowing it off the dial. The case back is see through to the movement. There is a 1927 patent. The bracelet was sized to larger than my wrist so definitely a mans watch. I had fun cleaning the spring bars, polishing the crystal and trying to get it running better, but didn't open the movement yet. It actually cleaned up pretty well.

New arrival(after a bit of a clean up) which I'm thrilled with, the logo is exactly as I used to always draw my jets when I was a nipper

Any information anyone may have on the brand would be very welcome. The movement is a Vinca 3184(Swiss Made, although I'm pretty sure Vinca were a Russian brand?).
