Problem is... I forget I even have some of these.

For example, Citizen on one of the photos even has its original strap. I am unsure where did it come from.

Picked up a new Hirsch strap for my ancient Seamaster. Still breaking it in. The strap, not the Omega.

Great-Grandpa’s Remembrance Day walk. GGP is my 1917 Marvin. Went to the War Memorial for 11.00, long walk with my friends and a pint in the pub, which I forgot to photograph!

Haven't posted a watch pic for months, and this is unfortunately not a great one taken under dim yellowish light this evening:

My Eterna Centenaire with blue tejus strap on Bader clasp - even in the poorly taken pic, the dial is so pretty.

Grand Quartz 4840
Seiko Grand Quartz 4840-8040 produced October 1975 and still working well within spec of ±5 sec/mth. The Grand Quartz name first appeared in 1975 with the single crystal 48xx movement (the logo above the 6 position, known to Seiko collectors by the somewhat indelicate name of 'cock and balls'). Designed in line with Taro Tanaka's 'Grammar of Design' and produced at the Suwa Seikosha factory, the GQ was available as time only, date and day-date. They were produced for three years, priced from 58,000JPY (£1,100 which in 1975 was the average annual salary). Perhaps my favourite watch but in respect of its age rarely comes out of the watch box nowadays.
