New Tudor Release 39mm Pelagos

Post by Lavaine »

Tudor continues their trend to smaller watches with a 39mm Pelagos release for 2022. 39mm, no-date black dial, titanium case and bracelet, manufacture calibre, 200m WR, included rubber strap.

Sounds like the watch gods are listening to you, so maybe ask them for this week’s lottery numbers too? :D

I will check, but I think the overhang on the Bezel, is the same as on the FXD.
It makes gripping and turning the bezel a breeze.
If the case is 39mm I guess the Bezel must measure up near 41mm.
I'm really looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

it's not in my budget, but if budget became available, this would be on my potential list. i liked the original very much. esp the 2 liner. wish they'd dump the chronometer officially certified lines. very unnecessary text to me.

I'd much prefer it in Pelagos blue.

The 5-line Pelagos is the watch I wear most often, and it's my favorite watch in my collection. It is a little on the big side, so seeing them release a 39mm that shaves 2mm off the thickness is a welcome change. The T-fit clasp also looks like a great alternative to the current Pelagos one.

I don't know how I feel about the sunburst dial or the texture on the bezel - I really like the matte finish on the current Pelagos. I personally prefer to have the date function too, but it's far less of a dealbreaker for me than the dial and bezel.

I like it, it addresses the size/bulkiness reason I sold two Pelagos (black and blue). 200m WR is just tickety-boo with me as is no date. Now to find the money…

It's nice! As well as slimming down the watch they could have removed the 'officially certified' text, too. Three lines would have been perfect. Bet that wears as a light was a feather.
