MiniMpi - February 2021

Post by MiniMpi »

An updated SOTC was long overdue but I was waiting for a few watches to make it complete.
Link to my previous SOTC Here

So here it is !

Five watches have gone to new homes, C5 MK3, C600 IPB, C7 Rapide Chronograph MK3 Prototype, C65 Trident Diver Handwind and C8 Vintage U2 MK2.

Five have joined, C60 Trident Elite GMT 1000, C9 SS, C65 Trident Diver 316L LE, C65 AM GT LE and C65 Super Compressor Deep Blue.

It's been a busy end of 2020 and start of 2021...

All five of the new additions were love at first sight for me so when the opportunities came up to buy each of them I was delighted.

I know I always say it.....but I'm at a happy place in my collection and also the size so it is coming to the time when it's probably going to be a one in one out if I want another watch, I've been essentially doing that since the last SOTC really.

Loving the new additions, fantastic watches which I'm delighted I was able to add to my collection.

Here are the photos of the collection and of the new additions :

Contents of 15 piece watch box :

Top row : C7 Bluebird, C70 Ascari, C70 HDRC, C7 COSC LE, C9 AM GT LE.

Middle row : C60 Ombré, C60 Titanium V2, C60 MK2 GMT, C60 Pro MK3, C60 Trident Elite GMT 1000.

Bottom row : C9 Jumping Hour MK3, C1 GM 5 Day COSC, C65 Trident Diver 316L LE , C65 Pepsi GMT, C65 Trident Diver SH21 LE.

Contents of 8 piece watch box :

Top row : C11 Titanium Elite, C8 UTC Worldtimer, C65 MK1 LE, 1934 Rolex 912 'Tank'.

Bottom row : C65 Dartmouth MK1, C65 Super Compressor Deep Blue, C65 AM GT LE, C9 SS.

It’s been a privilege to follow your journey to perfect example of a balanced collection. I look forward to what follows.

My eye was straight away drawn to the bluebird in slot 1. I hope you’ll always have space in your collection for those ‘older school’ CWs you own

Thanks Lindsey, even though a good few older models have left my collection there are still a few remaining and I've owned those one's for quite a while so I would say so yes.

Fab collection Ferguson and, like others, it’s been great to see the collection to grow and change through the years.

A tough question..... if you could only keep 3, which would you choose?

Always good to see your exclusively CW collection Ferg; you're forgiven for the one Rolex

Your new additions are top notch and great to see you have got both classic (C9 SS) and new era (C65 Super Compressor) pieces.

Enjoy them.

Presumably you're looking towards a settled 2021 from here.

Magnificent collection, Ferg. I was wondering if you were going to let your C65 Trident Diver go since you acquired the yellow limited edition.

Thanks for sharing!
Best regards,

Oh that's a very tricky one mate.....
If I literally had to choose three then probably the C65 SH21 LE. C9 SS and the C9 Jumping Hour Mk3.

Hi John,

Yes I sold it just after acquiring the C65 316L LE.
