Incoming! Steinhart
After umming and ahhing ever since this came on the market, I’ve finally pulled the trigger on the steinhart ocean 39 premium GMT “batman style”. I sold my 1st gen C60 GMT orange blob and Hammy Jazzmaster Viewmatic to consolidate my collection and cover the costs. Hoping it won’t take long to come, courtesy of Chronomaster.

Re: Incoming! Steinhart
Looked at that myself and really like it. Not least for the absence of "Mercedes" hands. which I feel have become such a cliche now that I don't even like them on a Rolex! I have absolutely no use for a GMT, but it's a great looking watch.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

Nice GMT...I think BLNR is so much more stylish than Pepsi.

Re: Incoming! Steinhart
I may look foolish here, but I've always thought it was an abbreviation for bleu/noir.

thank you!
Enjoy the watch - it looks really fine. I’m also in the BLNR bezel camp

It’s an abbreviation of the french bleu noir for blue black.missF wrote: what does BLNR stand for please??

I’ve got the original Steinhart BLNR at 42mm, also from Neil at Chronomaster. Great watch both in looks and timekeeping.DanV wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 10:06 pm After umming and ahhing ever since this came on the market, I’ve finally pulled the trigger on the steinhart ocean 39 premium GMT “batman style”. You shouldn’t have to wait too long, my record time from Neil was 23 hours from ordering to postie knocking on door.

That’s good to know! I love the bleu noir. Also not a fan of merc hands so this one ticks all my boxesTheBeatles wrote:I’ve got the original Steinhart BLNR at 42mm, also from Neil at Chronomaster. Not wanting to hijack your new watch thread, which looks like a great choice by the way.
