Afternoon, there, Ryan..thanx!!..no, it & its' black dial cohort were released late 2019..because of their price tag(imo), they haven't rec'd a lot of attention by the watch buying public..they're nice watches, though..StrappedUp wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 5:34 pmThat's a cracker Chuck. Is this a new model? I didn't know they were fitting the Presage line with Spring Drives!

Ebels are a lot like women that lack a lowcut dress that zips up the side..neither gets the love that they deserve..

And good afternoon to you as well, Nik..yep, the seller had to source another watch for me as the one they had on hand had been 'handled' in their store..and then it went through eBay's 'authentication' program as it sold for a greater amount than $2,000.00..I did a brief write-up/comparo here...

While its' right up my alley(the style of the dial is sort of a Japanese version of Art Deco, I think), the price(although discounted) is pretty steep for what you get..

cool though! I have to admit, that while liking it a lot, that one will probably not make it to my watch box on VFM grounds alone - despite sporting the SD PR indicator!Thunder1 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 6:12 pmAnd good afternoon to you as well, Nik..yep, the seller had to source another watch for me as the one they had on hand had been 'handled' in their store..and then it went through eBay's 'authentication' program as it sold for a greater amount than $2,000.00..I did a brief write-up/comparo here...

As a big fan of Chris Ward & Steinhart wrist offerings, I'm in the same VFM boat that you're in..this Seiko is the rare exception to that rule..

It will be the Sea Urchin in the new tropic strap for the rest of the week, I think.

That is a very classy watch though, understated and elegant. As you mentioned, an Arita dial version (with red twelve, arabic numerals preferably) would have me begging for mercy.....
