Unfortunately the battery was flat and it was only late last night that I got it changed. I therefore decided to wear it this morning instead.

My wife has a very nice collection of Swatches, all gifts from me. Most mark a special occasion, and they suit her personality wonderfully. Sadly they get less wrist time since she bought herself an Apple Watch. For the health functionality.

That’s a bit of a dream watch for me, although I have to admit its less about the watch and more about Steve McQueen.
Well if you like Steve McQueen buy a watch he actually wore, when not on a film set.

You need a Submariner... :)

Translates as sturmanskie/ski/sky. Allegedly the first watch in space [not that specific one obviously :)]
Thanks!
Friend of mine's partner works for Omega, we spent 2 hours baiting him on watches in space... what was the ... speedmaster...no, that was the sturmanski, how about the first... speedmaster.... sigh no.... that was the navitimer...how about.... no that was the Strela.... yes, round of applause, that one was the speedmaster, no the Bulova went too,...no the Ruskis use Fortis now....

The company line seemed to use a pretty broad brush to paint the speedy story :).

^^^ Never heard of one. I really like it. It has pronounced features that look rather toolish if you ask me. The markers, date window, hands, and case all match. Impressive.

These look great. Nice size and titanium is a real bonus. I didn’t see the teal on the website but the blue lumed white face version is attractive, (well they all are really!)
Cheers now, Paul

The Teal was part of the kickstarter campaign and limited to 500 units...
Both the blue and red new variants look good also.
