C60 Sapphire Strap Choice

Post by bdalg1 »

I am the proud owner of a C60 sapphire on a bracelet but I am not loving it as much as I should and I think it is the bracelet that is letting it down.

Other than the obvious hybrid strap has anyone out their Sapphire on a different strap? I am in need of inspiration!!! I kind of think it would look great on a nato.....

Welcome to the forum.

I've not got a C60 Sapphire but will still make a suggestion of a Hirsch Grand Duke, in blue (of course).

Nicely padded, has a Croc grain and is reckoned to be 300m WR. As seen here on my C60 Trident Mk1 FLE.

NATO wise its worth checking out the Veryan and Senna options from Watchgecko

Good luck.

Not to side track the OP’s thread, but that Grand Duke in black with red stitching might look great with my C65 AM GT!

And to the OP, welcome to the forum! I’m sure a whole host of straps would look great with the Sapphire. I think the blue sapphire dial might look great with the new #tide strap introduced with the C60 Blue LE.

Another suggestion is this cool strap from Crown & Caliber. They call it a chevron strap and describe it as a mix between a NATO and a perlon strap. I’m suggesting this particular strap because the weave is a combination of black and blue threads - very cool and very subtle!

A warm welcome to the forum. 8)

The Hirsch Grand Duke suggested by Guy is a great strap.

The red stitching on that is a great pop of contrasting color against the yellow. I love that combo, very nice!

Good shout Andrew (jkbarnes) on the #Tide strap.

A similar look is available in the guise of Elliot Brown's 'NATO 2.0' webbing strap, single pass with a unique buckle, in Dark Blue/Sky Blue as seen here on my C60 Bronze;-

. . . . or how about the lighter, plain Denim Blue?

I came to the conclusion that tan/honey straps look great against a blue watch. I would thing a Cordovan honey brown strap would look great against a c60 sapphire.

Welcome to the forum!
Guy mentioned the Veryan from WatchGecko; I have one of those and although I don't have a blue dialled watch, it looks great on my orange dialled CW. I'll try to remember to fit it tonight and get a real life photo for you. It's probably my favourite of my NATO straps though, and I have more expensive ones too. Just has lovely colours and a nice sheen.

I've just remembered the Haveston straps too. I have an older version of the flight deck (completely different to the current ones) but this may go quite well with the Sapphire?

A Navy Blue ADPT from Worn and Wound would look pretty smart on the Sapphire I think.

So I got two new straps and like them both.....I think they both look good and I prefer them to the bracket.

Any thoughts?

I have my saphire on a link strap pretty much all the time. It works well for me and I like the look and feel. Everyone has their own tastes though..!

I do agree however that blue watches suit tan straps, so I do swap out the link strap on occasion for a cw tan leather and it gives it an entirely "new watch" look. I highly recommend a tan strap. The cw's are a lovely colour and nice and feel.

Although owning a few hybrid straps, I just cant seem to get on board with them. I find them a little rigid even after a couple of weeks wear, and they dont seem to mold to my average size wrist which is annoying as I like the design and they suit the watch quite well.
