CW C60 Sapphire

Post by Davy Crockett »

Hello all,
New here but been lurking around for a while, huge fan of CW and Swiss watches and fortunate to own a couple
I'm looking to purchase a C60 Sapphire but from what I've read (various sources) am confused about size.
I know it's 40mm but is that glass or case size?
Could anyone/an owner confirm please??
Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome. The diameter for a watch is given as the case diameter excluding the crown, so factoring in a dive bezel you will need to appreciate that the actual crystal will be smaller.

There is no measurement for this in the CW Archive entry (see link) but I would have thought in the region of 35 to 36 mm. I’m sure an owner could easily measure it for you.

Dimension is always quoted for the Case, excluding the Crown i.e. 40mm case . ..

. . . and as @AVO says above, the crystal will be in the region of 35mm - 36mm.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the replies and help 👍
I'm used to my Trident Pro 43mm and sadly I think the Sapphire might seem small in comparison
Not in a rush so I'll keep browsing longingly!

Hi, im also new to this forum having just bought my first CW watch. I took delivery of my c60 saphire yesterday.
My initial reaction was its an absolute work of art. Its stunning! Upon offering it to my wrist it didnt look too small, however it would possibly suit being a few mil bigger. Within 30 mins of wearing it, it looked perfect on. I think your minds eye just has to adjust to the size. It actually suits this size as it looks far more sleek and sophisticated.
Its certainly not too small at all and as your eye gets lost in the detail straight away its totally fine.
I have both the blue and steel straps. Both look incredible in very different ways.

You wont regret it. I ordered the blue strap which looks really striking. But within 2 days of delivery i obviously ordered the steel strap. Which turns it in to a very classy looking piece.

Im new to cw and this forum malarky in general but i find myself strangely up for talking about watches. Think ive created a monster inside! My bank balance certainly thinks so over the past few months!!!

I've ordered the blue/orange strap but I know I'll order the steel strap at some point.

Well, I got a phonecall on Wednesday evening to say my watch would be despatched soon....... Friday morning 9.30 it arrived!!!!!!!!

Well packaged, very nice presentation box and hand written name and signature on the warranty

Beautifully made watch which looks stunning and the blue really changes hue it varying light, bit similar to water

Enough waffling, I'll let the pictures do the talking....

Being used to a 43mm Trident 600 and a 47mm Garmin it does feel a little small but, I am slowly getting used to it.

Stunning watch and great pictures! How do you like the strap? I ask because I have just put this strap on one of my watches.

Great choice! I got mine with the solid blue strap but quickly ordered the steel strap a week after!

I no have mine pretty much on the steel strap permanently. It just takes it to the next level for me!
I would highly recommend the steel stral also!

Im pretty new to this so ill add a few photos if someone can tell me how!!!!!!!

Sorry in addition, I also had reservations re the size. I too wear 42/44mm divers mainly. It does appear a tad small at first but literally within a few days you'll feel its as perfect as it actually is!!!
