Seeing as it started as Ward Bros., I am guessing it refers to the 3 sons, Jake, James and Jonathon.
Agree for Ward-Bros, but Jake resigned on 14th January.
But I am pretty sure he is still a son.

WOW! I come on the forum to research what will be my 3rd CW watch for an upcoming birthday (sadly very little spare time for online watch browsing/forums these days), and I find out that the main man has left!!!

Its a real shame and I wish him and Wera all the very best indeed for the future - I never had any dealings with Chris (and it seems I really missed out, from what I read here), but I did have a several email exchanges with Wera when buying previously, which I must say were a pleasure and way above and beyond the usual customer service one would even hope for.

But times change and things move on I guess, such is the way of the world - I'll watch keenly what Chris and Wera and sons do next, likewise I shall watch closely what is next for CWL. - Reading this thread has not put me off buying another CWL one bit - they are great quality & great design watches for good prices, and I very much hope they will continue that way. - My C8 UTC and C1000 are treasured pieces in my relatively large collection.

It's sad to see the founder of the company leave, but I guess it is how it is for a corporate world.

Cool logo! :silent:

Found the comments on Facebook interesting...

There's another comment on that post from someone who's a Facebook friend of Chris Ward's son. So all looking like a family venture - maybe how Chris would avoid personally competing with CW.

There's already an enthusiasts group too.

I joined it, but at the moment I regard it as an interest group since I can’t get enthusiastic about something I haven’t seen yet! 8)

Has anyone been able to subscribe to the mailing list from the web page. Looks to be just text without a link to enter an email address.
