Hi Sidders I did get it from Ashford there were import duties but even with those the watch still
cost less than £260 its a beautiful watch, quality is very good if you use the code Hot5 you will get
5% off at checkout. My wife loves it with the mother of pearl dial although it dose not show on the picture the indices are a light green Image
Dave

Price was sub £400 on which I paid 20% VAT, no duty and UPS's Brokerage fee of £11.50 (paid online even before the package left the USA).

More detail may be found in this link on the GOV.UK website Tax and Duty on Goods sent from Abroad - although it appears to be in the 'Business & self-employed' section the info is good for a private transaction.

Hope that helps.

Just landed a new two-part antique leather strap from Alex Moss of Yellowdog straps. Exactly what I had in mind.

Had this on since I got home. It’s just returned from a four/five week holiday in the fatherland. I read that Sinn were turning things round quick recently and although it was still running, a bubble had formed and it is over six years since Downer decided to part with it. Despite a worrying few days after it was tracked as signed for and they were ‘locating it’ I think it Is still very quick from what I’ve heard.
It looks like new and arrived in nice travel case.
