Let's play Subliminal Similarities

Post by tikkathree »

Subliminal similarities: with time on my hands I'm starting to see patterns emerging..... I guess I knew I have a fondness for yellow and black but there had not been a plan to create a sub-collection in thise colours so what I'm suggesting is that these watches drew themselves together and just used me as the medium.
Now I want to see what else there is.....Image

I am also in the black dial dive watch camp.

Clearly they are all slightly different and at different price points, generally worn in different situations. Had they not been different I would have been foolish to have bought more than a couple.

However whilst I like and have a few Seiko dive watches, it turns out that I don’t have any black dial ones. Thank you for drawing the gap in my collection to my attention. :)

My daughter's boyfriend is into watches and asked him to bring his collection over last Autumn.

He opened his watchbox and shared his collection with me. I smiled and said "so you love chronographs" ....he replied what do you mean?

I shared that you do realize all of your watches are chronographs. It was a blind spot for him....he simply knew what he liked for a watch style and purchased them. As i told him, there is nothing wrong with that at all !!!

Absolutely - each one is different but perhaps not to the untrained eye.... :) ...the black dialled Seiko diver catalogue is a big one to explore..

Black and yellow from my box. Two of my favorites.

Time and money? I’ve spent most of mine on booze and women. The rest I just wasted…
