3 out and 1 in....but what? - LLD 42mm

Post by StrapMeister »

So having sold 3 watches over the last few weeks and, with the watch fund looking reasonably healthy, started checking my favourites, bookmarks and generally looking around.
Well I found something at a great price on the Montredo site, hit the add to basket button and subsequently paid (albeit I awaiting shipping confirmation).
So what is it :?:
Clues include:
I've tried this brand before which has a great heritage and makes some really nice watches.
The 2 previous watches from this brand that I had, I found too small for my tastes at 36mm and 38mm respectively.
The one I've bought is 42mm and of the diver genre.

Thanks, Ryan Nigel!

I checked out your posts in Sales Corner and looked at what you had been selling recently. Congratulations on acquiring a superb watch. We will look forward to pictures and review. Enjoy and wear in good health.

So the 3 (actually 4) that departed were:
  • MAEN Hudson 42mm Automatic Date Ghost White
  • FORMEX Essence Chronometer COSC Automatic Blue
  • CW C8 Pilot Mark II
  • CW C9 Moonphase
The 2 Longines watches I had previously were:
  • LONGINES Heritage Military
  • LONGINES Heritage 1969
Looks like delivery for the LLD is 1 - 2 weeks.
When it arrives I'll post some pics.

Nigel

Great choice Nigel. It is a brilliant watch and while I really enjoy my 36 version I am sure you will be able to pull off the 42 just fine.
Enjoy it
Cheers now, Paul

Nice addition Nigel

I really like the LLD too, i just found it too big for me, it does wear large for 42mm with fairly long lugs :problem: Obviously with a larger wrist, that's not an issue. If they ever split the difference and made it in 38-40 I'd be a potential buyer.

Thanks everyone
I'm really excited to get this one - it's been on the radar for a while now.

If it does indeed wear bigger than the 42mm that will be fine for me - I've, in the past, worn a 46mm pilot watch comfortably.
One thing that I did notice was that the lugs angle down and thus around the wrist which should be perfect for me.
