Well as it was a good article, not just a “week on the wrist” one I thought it was worth posting. One of the articles linked is a detailed three part feature about the Daytona.

It also means that having posted it on here, It will be easier to find if I want to read it again. :)

I used to own a 70s Daytona Chrono, sold it for £1950!

A friend of mine sent me a WhatsApp saying something along the lines of “a pair of Daytona’s, pics to follow”.

He already had the black dial version and had asked the AD for a white dial as well, so I thought it had come through.

However the subsequent pics were of a pair of boots! :)

Interesting (teased....) read about an historically significant watch. Thanks for the heads-up, Neil.

I think it's become somewhat unfortunate the level of hype that is associated with these sorts of models, especially in the Rolex family currently (Datejust, Subs and such) and temperamentally that makes them "not my thing"....even while understanding why they have their attractions.
