Unplanned (well a bit) bronze oris bcpd

Post by stefs »

Strolling around chelmsford with mrs stefs this afternoon and just popped in to say hello to the nice people at goldsmith. Lisa tried a couple of very expensive datejusts that did not get bought and I tried on something a bit different that did get picked up.
Pictures to come shortly but with no light left wont be challenging the forums more skilled photographers.

So any guesses?
Cheers now, Paul

Paul I think you have bought something that you will flip within 6 months!

Radio Captain Cook LE......

PS: I was going to say you had bought a BB58 (an excellent choice), but noticed the Chelmsford branch don’t have Tudor listed as a brand.

Funny enough i did look at the rado and very nice actually but no. Also another hint would be that if I did flip within 6 months I probably wouldn’t see the benefit of this watch...

Ok the 2020 Olympic Games don’t start until late July, therefore if you flipped before then, you wouldn’t get the full benefit from one of the Omega Olympic Seamaster range, each with a different colour Olympic ring.....

Oris bronze Big Crown Pointer Date with bronze face..

Very warm feel and the deer chamois leather strap is a very nice match and very soft to the touch.
Always been a big fan of oris and owned a 34 mm steel big crown previously which I regretted selling although it probably was a touch small to be fair.

Lovely jubbly Paul!

They are churning out some great looking watches at Oris and this BCPD is definitely up there.
I still haven't sold my 36mm for fear of regretting it.

Wear in good health Sir

Not my type, Paul, but it does look great on you. I do like the pointer style of date.

Very nice! I really like the pointer dates, particularly the burgundy dial version which I’ve nearly bought about three times in the New Years sales.

I look forward to seeing this on SC in due course.

I’ve never been a fan of bronze watches...until this one! It’s a beauty! That’s a bronze watch I’d wear in a heartbeat.
