I suspect that that it should have white lume hands and at some point has had a mod done.
I'm fairly sure the original Mark II's had white hands. I guess it's possible that CW made a few with the vintage hands from the later Mark II black dialled watches.

I'd still like some insight into the different Logos on the Mark 2 Pilots ...
The original "W inside C" logo was changed to the Chr Ward version during the life of the C8 Mark II, so you will find examples of both.

Regarding the vintage hands on the cream MK2 above, CW sold off some C8 MK2 Cream dial watches they found about a year or two ago but fitted Vintage hands to them as they had no stock of the originals.

Only insight into the logos I can offer, is that production of the C8 Pilot MkII spanned the use of the V_1 and V_2 logos.

I bought one of these "parts bin specials" and then sold it to Voignier (Lance). He might have pictures of it.

Bugger. My memory seems to have been wiped by the recent Christmas Port fest.

Taylor Fladgate 20 year old Tawny. Yum, especially with a piece of proper stilton and an apple. Heaven.

Black and red gold please. I suppose Black and copper is better than Black and crude oil though.

Is black and copper a type of drink like black and tan? Maybe it would be guiness and cider or guiness and tizer or even guiness and lucozade. None of these sound especially appealing though.

Laird wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2019 10:50 am Agreed - I do like the Mark 1 - especialy in that dial colouring ....

Coincidentally, I've been looking for another Pilot Mark 2 to complement my Cream Dial model ....... and have seen two versions of the CW Logo now, on a Black Dial Mark 2 - one matching mine, with the Logo in a small circle & one with the also familiar CHR.WARD iteration ...

The attached Pic serves to illustrate ....

I really like these two version of the logo. Very elegant.
