No. I think that’s slightly above the going rate. Aim for £3.5k imo.
Cheers Richard.

I wasn't seriously considering buying it, although I do quite like it.

Guy for once I disagree with richard on this. I think that is actually a very decent price. When I bought mine awhile back I paid £4k and although close to mint it was used and not new.
However I would have expected you to be more likely to go for a 42 rather than a 38mm version.
Cheers now, Paul

^^^ You may well be right, Paul.

Bargainability is in the eye of the beholder, but in my eyes this is a good price at 40% off...

Interesting comment Paul.

I'd assumed, rightly(?) that its the smaller El Primo; hadn't realised there is a 42mm option.

Perhaps I'll have a better feel for the situation in a few day's time.

Haven't been looking too much but cw/jura had the Certina Powermatic 80 DS PH200M for £312, over now though. And first class watches had priced a certina ds action diver wrong, but was corrected within a day. Not much help there I know.

That powermatic 80 movement in the Certina is the absolute base (cheapest) version of the movement and one I personally wouldn't want. I thought it funny there was no mention of the number of jewels and Certina seemed a bit coy about the movement. Found the open case back photo below, 23 Jewels means a plastic (sorry synthetic) escapement, the 2 missing jewels are the pallet stones! For me, that, coupled with an Acrylic crystal doesn't make for a particularly high value for money watch.

Given the current Tag Heuer thread, here's a reduced price for someone; seems cheaper than used!

Just got back from Burrells in Winchester after collecting a new Tudor Black Bay Black Bezel 41mm Calibre MT5602 (COSC) on bracelet with free Tudor fabric strap & 5 year warranty purchased on their website with 30% off @£1960.00 :D

This suddenly appeared on their website the day after Boxing Day after several Tudors in their website sale on Boxing day suddenly went back to full price. They said they must have been advertised in sale on website in error as they don't put Tudors on their website sale as they need to be collected in store.

In their window they had a TUDOR BLACK BAY 41 WATCH BLACK DIAL & STEEL BRACELET 41MM M79540-0001 with 30% off @ £1,575.00 still advertised at full price on their website. So worth checking in stores if local to Winchester, Staines or Tunbridge Wells to see wht's on offer.

So I went to buy a watch, and the man in the shop said "Analogue." I said "No, just a watch."
