Cordura Hybrid strap

Post by Kansas City Milkman »

Hi all

I’m interested in the new C60 Abyss, but see from the forum that there a number of negative comments about the comfort of the Cordura strap. I note Guy’s comment from a CW GTG that Mike France has acknowledged this too. I find this likely to put me off from buying the watch until other straps are provided as an option.

Question is whether anyone has found the Cordura comfortable or if the strap has become more supple and comfortable over time?

Thanks

I have a couple and like them. They are stiff, but I’ve found them comfortable. Mind you, I’d wait for the new version rather than buy another one now.

If I was buying an Abyss now, I’d want to wear it on a sort touch leather strap. Not that it helps you!

Wear it for a few days, it just fine, in fact more than fine. I just ordered the orange and blue too

Any word on when the new Cordura strap will be released?

Word from the London GTG was Spring 2020.

I'll see if I can get an update next week at the Bristol GTG.

Was there any update on this from Bristol, or elsewhere?

@timor54 - word from the Bristol Event/GTG and subsequent visit to CW Towers by the Admin Team, is the improved Hybrid strap is still on track for launch Spring 2020.

Have had the Abyss for a month now and the hybrid strap is very comfortable. Let it break in a few days. I feel it is the perfect strap for the Abyss. By the way a GREAT watch. Many compliments on it.

I've just received the blue and orange strap today and it is a lot more
flexible than the blue I got with my C60 GMT.
