Timing of purchase.

Post by r-macus »

A family member is looking a watch, and I mentioned CW. Is there any promo codes about atm, or should I wait until the sales?
Had a look on the classifieds for other brands also, most have sold. It has to be a dive watch , any help appreciated.

Timing of purchase.

There are some nearly new dive watches listed under Watches -> Clearance. At 30% off, they’re pretty good value... and they go very rapidly.

Black Friday is coming up, they have done 15% off any watch in the past couple of years.

It seems like more of a thinning out stock sale disguised as a nearly new sale. The models are hanging around way too long for just 1 or 2 of each. Good news is you could potentially be purchasing a brand new one for nearly new price.

Hmmmmm, I think that's a new approach, I wonder if that rules out any Black Friday discount. Last year saw a 15% discount across the range at the end of Nov

Yep. 15% off is best for the cheaper watches, but anything over £500 the £100 voucher is better.

^^^ Forgive me if I’m wrong, which is very likely because I’m rubbish at maths!

Isn’t 15% better value once you get over £667 RRP?

Correct.

So below £500, the 15% is better - because the £100 voucher doesn't apply below £500.

Between £500 and £667, the £100 voucher is better.

Over £667, the 15% off is better.

However, the 15% deal only is only offered occasionally, whereas the £100 voucher normally lasts for a couple of months - in the current case until 24th December.

Got the new voucher in the post this morning. No loupe though. I'm on the look out for something for myself in the new year, might be a CW who knows.

Real good information that should be in a FAQ for new potential buyers.
