Clearly an evolution of the Titanium MkII Trident, and all the better for it, of which I had an example but sold it to korkki.

As others have suggested, worth checking out at the Bristol GTG / CW Event in 10 days time BUT will it be competing for my funds with a Forum LE?

It's a great, cohesive design. Not really for me but I quite like it; you can't beat black and red!

I think it's pretty awful to be honest - and old hat now. This type of watch first hit the streets a few years ago, from numerous brands - and this brings nothing new to the game whatsoever.

CW are far better at trying to be innovative, rather than copying, even if, IMHO, they don't always get it right.

I thought that the 40mm case would outsell the 42mm case.
The 42mm is Better proportioned and wears a bit flatter from what I can see. I can wear anything from 36-45 and this 42mm trident is great.

I hadn't realised until now, having read the details on CW's website, that the brushed DLC lightcatcher case is in Gunmetal not Black.

That, contrasting against other elements that are in black, should look really nice.

The email I’ve just read states that it’s a limited edition. But I can’t see anywhere how limited. Perhaps I’ve just missed it.

If you have missed it Alex, then so have I.

No mention that I can see in the Website marketing blurb, description, features etc. Image

Mind you, the Trident Titanium #1 and #2, in which there is a similarity, were not LE, but the 316L Series were. Curious.

I got the same email, where it says it is a limited edition. "Riding the tide of demand for blacked-out watches, the new C60 Abyss Limited Edition has been tailored to operate under the radar."

As you did Guy, I looked at the website pictures and description and found no mention of it being a limited edition. It also has not been placed with the other limited editions when you click on the "Limited Edition" tab on there website. I did find one other hint however that it is a limited edition. When you look at the picture of the caseback on the website it does not say limited edition, but when you watch the video, the first few letters of limited briefly come into view as they show the caseback.

Confusing advertising by CW.

Is it the same shade of grey as the C7 Apex?

Not sure. Depends whether the C7 Apex is also gunmetal or, perhaps, charcoal.

Looking at the photo in the CWArchives - C7 Apex it looks to be darker which, to me, suggests its Charcoal.

I'm pretty sure though that the C8 M2.04 Limited Edition Concorde is gunmetal, which shows up as being lighter; CWArchives - C8 M2.04 LE

On the other hand, all three may be gunmetal! :problem:

Interesting point about it being LE. Agree I can't see that anywhere on the site. Will check with CW
