3 watch travel case

Post by Soporsche »

Hi, any recommendations for a tough/quality travel case for carrying c.3 (any from 2-4) watches safely on your travels.
Im fed up of taking a bigger box or separate individual cases. I've tried an ebay super cheapie before and it didn't hold up (surprise surprise). I have a canvas roll and I know some love them but doesnt seem to protect very well.
Also prefer something that can take a watch with a deployment type clasp attached so roll shape as opposed to flat, but open to alternatives.
Any help appreciated!

I have one of these.

Decent quality. Although currently out of stock at Watch Obsession, it’s a model that should be widely available elsewhere, with help from Mr. Google.

I tend not to use it when travelling, as I just take a few of these.

Thanks Neil
That Wolf large roll is really lovely and with the help of Mr Google are available all over the place :-)
I had looked at the WatchPod cases which are similar to the watchitallabout pods you linked.
Some of the feedback on the WatchPods though is that the watches rattle around a bit unless you pad them out with something (which defeats the object to me). Maybe the WIAA Pods dont have this is issue, Ill order one or two of these anyway as they would come in handy!

I have a couple of the smaller cases like the pod case and I don't want to risk the crystal bouncing against the zipper, so tend to wrap the watch itself in a glasses cleaning cloth. I find this pads out the watch enough to prevent it rattling around...

^ +1 for the watch pod cases that are fantastic and I find more crush resistant than other cases. My pods are Oakley Watch Vaults (now discontinued) however look identical to the WIAA pods. Of note, the WIAA pods are significantly less than what I paid!

Final note, I find when taking three watches, with one on wrist and two in smaller watch pods makes it far easier to pack them in my carryon, space wise.

Another option is the combination of a soft travel pouch, with a hard outer case. The ones that I use are from Muji. The travel pouch easily fits inside.

Gives me the option of one on wrist and one in either a pocket (in the pouch) or if extra protection required, in a carry on or rucksack (within the Muji case).

I may have one that's similar to Korkki's but not as posh! If I can find it at home I will PM you.

Thanks all, some of you guys really like your watches to travel in style 😁
I like both the roll type cases (Daines and the Wolf) and will look out for a deal on similar. The pods make sense and will order a couple to try as they would have multiple uses.
Thanks Amor Vincit, ill keep an eye out in case.

Hoang Dat sells handmade watch rolls and cases. Find him on Etsy - here’s an example. I haven’t bought anything from him but he’s highly rated on some of the FB groups.
