Re: FLE #8 design submissions
Thanks for the mockups. Guy and Steve have convinced me to put in my two cents, soooooo the touch of yellow looks good. Think I like the all blue as it looks more cohesive. Not "better use these black bezels we have left on the shelf."
Now, back to the sidelines...good luck!

Re: FLE #8 design submissions
Firstly, let me just put it out there that I haven't got my hat in the FLE ring regardless of model/size. Just enjoy tinkering around and making a positive contribution wherever I can.
If anyone feels that my input is having a negative impact on the selection process, please feel free to state or PM me
Just a few things I've played around with using the Dartmouth as a base ...

^^^^ Ryan they look rather good!
To me far better than anything that uses the normal C60 or C65 design language.

Thanks Neil. If the bezel looks a bit too much with the 'busy' dial, it could be substituted for this one ...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions
Back to the sidelines? Yea right. These gradiant dials really do give the impression of something special and worthy of an FLE. Personally tho, if I have minute markers on the dial, I don't want them on the bezel. Not quite so busy. Trying to pick one of these color combos would be really tough. All very striking.
EDIT. I was writing this about the bezel as you were posting the latesest rendition. SPOT ON!

This or the red equivalent and I'm well and truly in. Unlikely to be a standard release and special enough for a LE.StrappedUp wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 9:34 pm Thanks Neil. If the bezel looks a bit too much with the 'busy' dial, it could be substituted for this one ...

Good stuff, Ryan. They all look very promising.
I find those sunburst dials hard to do well. Whilst playing around earlier trying to find a good way to do them, this simple colour change version popped up, so I thought I'd throw it out there to see if there was interest in a Hulk-like Dartmouth:

Yeh, although not impossible, it's probably more difficult to change the original dial to anything other than a single colour. For these, I created the dial from scratch, then added the markers, hands and text on top.welshlad wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 9:46 pm Good stuff, Ryan. They all look very promising.

Re: FLE #8 design submissions
Yes, that's what I figured I would need to do. But creating the initial template of markers from the original dial takes a little time so will have to wait until tomorrow. Also trying to capture the box crystal reflections is going to be a challenge!StrappedUp wrote:Yeh, although not impossible, it's probably more difficult to change the original dial to anything other than a single colour. Perhaps if we could get that with a bronze case?

I'd like to see how the less busy bezel would look on a grey/grey version.watchaholic wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 9:37 pm Back to the sidelines? Yea right. Re: FLE #8 design submissions
Those bronze C65s with the different colored dials remind me of all the micro divers you see on budget forums. They're good looking, but I can't get that taste out of my mouth.
I actually quite like that!

Re: FLE #8 design submissions
Those Dartmouth mockups with the gradient dials, stainless steel/bronze combination and the all bronze concepts, are very sharp looking.
I also like very much the C60 with the PVD blue finish and black bezel.
If I was able to buy, I would go for any of these designs.
