It is pretty accurate, yes - running at about -6s/d at the moment - but I think it will need some fettling soon, as previously it was running at about -4s/d

Not as ‘vintage’ as yours, but hardly a spring chicken either... :lol:

C65 on CW distressed strap. In real life the strap is much browner and less distressed than it appears in photos...

Good idea to get some leather conditioner on the strap, Gary.

On a similar strap I have the top layer of the leather started flaking off. Checking it over I reckoned the distressing process had dried out the leather (too much).

A dab or two of Gliptone, applied with a finger and worked into the leather to feed it, worked wonders. Image
