At the beginning of summer in 2018 I declared that the C60 Trident 600 GMT would be henceforth my only travelling watch.
It has done exceptionally well and has so far been a terrific companion. Over the last 13 months we have been to Greece twice, Cyprus, Lanzarote and France for a total of seven weeks. Lucky me, eh?
I’m about to go off to France again in a few days for our annual school trip. And I think I have decided to leave the GMT behind and take the C65 Trident diver for a change. It’s a beautiful watch to wear and really is much lighter than the GMT and much slimmer. I won’t be jumping into swimming pools or the sea (in any case it’s a swimming watch), nor will I really need the date or the GMT. So, just for a change...

The thing that concerns me, Steve, is that, without a GMT hand, how will you work out what the time is back home in the UK when you're in France?

You are right to be worried, Steve. When they wired up my brain they seemed to focus entirely on philology to the exclusion of mathematics.
Now remind me again, how many hours is it and which direction?
