If the Worn and Wound article is accurate I'm very surprised the case is stainless steel. Probably due to the price and the similarities with the Elite I assumed it was titanium.

I'm sure it's a nice watch, but pricing is far too rich imho for a CW.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

Indeed.

Admiring without desiring.

Given past form, it's unsurprising tbh.

Well, I didn't expect to find an Eagles quote in this thread! Very nice.

Love it.

I had an SH21 in the past and it was fantastic.

For what you get, the price is good... If it had more of a brand reputation.

My main concern would be the height. SH21 is think and exhibition case back adds 1mm at least so I bet 17mm which is not very easy to wear. I'll wait and see the official specs to confirm.

It is, undoubtedly, a great watch.

Oh good lawd, I just noticed something.

It is a black date wheel. There is literally no other black on this thing. Why would anyone spend this kind of cash and not get a nothing date wheel.

Specs are great but geez, attention to detail people.

Height of approx 16.5mm with a lug-to-lug of 54mm. A beast (monster) of a watch.

Maybe price is a factor of the watch mass?

The black date wheel is a disappointment. If the experience of owning a C7 Apex is anything to go by, its the back of the watch that most people care about. That SH21 is HD watch pawn especially with a rotor like that.

Relatively the same, + or - a whisker, as the C60 Trident MkII with SH21 and the C60 Trident Pro Chronograph. :D

Is that a statement or a question?

No matter. The C60 Trident Elite 1000 had a black date wheel, as does the rest of the blue dial C60 Trident Mk3 versions, and it hasn't stopped those selling well (Elite is a 300 piece LE and is Sold out).

If it is a question; why would people buy it? Well; I am buying it because I like the watch as a whole and I do not have OCD over small items. :D

Now where are my credit card details?

My thought is that the date wheel is black in this instance to provide greatest contrast against the lume in low light, so well played AB  ... whereas it's just cost on the standard range.

I think the 54mm lug-to-lug must be a typo.

The standard 42mm C60 Mk3 has a L2L of 49.3mm and it's difficult to understand why this would be so much (or any) longer. Even the C60 Mk2 Chronograph only had a L2L of 51.5mm.

At least the name logo's not at 9o'clock......every cloud has a silver lining........

In fact where is it ? I thought CW said it was here to stay but obviously only unless they don't want it to be at 9o'clock or not anywhere at all. Their company so they can do what they want I suppose.

Having black date wheels with blue dials happens a lot, even in this price range. For example, my Omega AT Skyfall, which was from a similar-ish price bracket. It doesn't stop it being gorgeous! ;)

Yep I could live with the black date on that Omega.
