New moderator
I am very pleased to announce that welshlad is joining the Admin Team....effective immediately.
Welshlad is replacing our longtime Admin Team member, ianblyth, who has stepped down due to personal circumstances and time constraints. He will be greatly missed as part of our team. We Thank him for his long time and dedicated service.
Please join me in welcoming welshlad as a Moderator.
Steve has been a member of "The Asylum" since April of 2012. Along the way he has also managed to collect a few CW watches so is a bit familiar with the brand. Steve was also an integral part of the 2013 FLEC just a few short months after joining the forum.
Steve is not only my friend as well as being very familiar with all The Admin Team members, but has been a well respected member of the "Asylum" and I am certain that having him on the Admin Team will benefit the CW Forum by helping us to maintain better and more consistent coverage.
The Admin team is extremely pleased and honored to welcome "welshlad" to our team. Please be gentle with him. He has big shoes to fill.
Good Luck Steve!!!!

Steve (Welshlad), welcome to the mod team and I am excited for your considered and thoughtful approach to watches and your past posts (plus the forum statistics will get their due diligence LOL)

Re: New moderator
Thanks to all moderators, old, new, and existing. It’s a pretty thankless task most of the time but your work is very much appreciated.
Iain’s Law: Any discussion on the Christopher Ward forum, irrespective of the thread title or subject matter, will eventually lead to someone mentioning the Bel Canto if the thread continues for long enough.
Re: New moderator
Thanks to Ian for sticking at being a mod long after being an active forum poster.
Congratulations to Steve - your round at the London GTG!
I reckon a set of stats, covering the past 12 months of daily wear are in order.

Re: New moderator
Would you Adam and Eve it? He’s been causing trouble already!
When we showed him the executive washroom he got upset because he wanted a red towel to match his jumper and rugby shirt. We explained that this belonged to “Downer of the Kop”, so the pipe and deerstalker were pretty soon ejected from the pushchair. We pacified him by promising to sew little red dragons on the green one and he was okay after that. He’s a nice little lad and we will soon sort him out.
In case you wondered, Guy’s towel is a nice Air Force blue and mine is a snazzy beach towel in the design of a Cypriot flag. Kip’s is a bit of a state secret and we don’t actually know because he keeps it locked in his private all-singing all-dancing Japanese musical cubicle that we are not allowed access to.
Seriously, Steve, a huge welcome mate – you will do a fine job!
Massive thanks to Ian who has always been such a stalwart member of the forum and the Admin Team. He is a busy lad these days and we hope that he will find time to login as and when he can. Cheers, Ian!
