MOANA PACIFIC PROFESSIONAL TITANIUM

MOANA PACIFIC PROFESSIONAL TITANIUM

Anybody ordered/interested in this?

Had my eye on expanding the collection with one but held off as no date versions grabbing my attention until now. I see that the blacks appear to have a date window and the blues don't (also sold out now too) but am concerned that the "slight changes to production models" will loose the date window which is the draw for me.

I'd be interested to hear from any purchasers of the blue version (july 7th shipping date) as to whether they've got date windows or not please

The original Kara in blue didn't have a date window. I ordered one but the lack of date was a step too far for me so I sold it.

^ and I’m very glad you did, Neil, because I bought it from you. The lack of a date window being a positive for me, as was the Titanium case, which made a large watch very wearable on my 7 inch wrist.

Looking at the specifications of the MPP Titanium on FORaSEC, which is where I got my Kara from, it states Blue dial - no date and Black dial - with date.

Hope this helps clarify the situation for you.

I like the black model a lot (I already own the Dual Time), but with only having a cheap Zulu as a strap option? That's poor. Would a Magrette metal strap match the titanium case?

I'm considering getting the rubber and metal straps as I too don't think the fabric is up to much. Certainly don't want blue or black with the black face and probably leaning towards gunmetal rather than silver

I am thanks Neil. It’s great for the hot weather we’ve had over the summer, and I’ve taken it on a few trips to sticky places for the exact same reason.

Hi

I'm digging up this thread as I just received mine.

No date on the blue dial.

I love it. The watch is still a bit heavy to my opinion. As said above the blue Zulu seems not an adequate combo I ordered the magrette rubber with steel deploy. And it s much better

That looks great misterchrono. Were you tempted by the metal braclet?

Jos, if you’re still ummming and ahhhing over this, below is the review I wrote after it arrived, just about a year ago. I still feel the same excitement I did back then.

To your question about the date window - some models do and some do not. The Kara 10th Anniversary edition does not. You don’t need to be concerned about whether the one you order does or does not come with a date window, as long as you order the right one of course.
