I would say so. Such a watch should be absolutely unambiguous IMHO.watchaholic wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2019 6:49 pm I'll add my two cents, although we may be drifting off topic. Would the release of a "field watch" require a change from straight baton markers to Arabic numerals?

And now back to the subject of the GMT.....
Several have asked if we can do an exhibition case back. The answer is yes.
It just so happens that the tooling has already been done for some prototypes. although not yet tested, it has been design so as not to affect the WR rating. It is also believed, at this point, that adding this will have little, or no affect on the end cost.
We also have the option of doing a smoked glass or the glass with the device imprint as show in S2 original on page 1 of this topic. Personally I would recommend against the device glass as there are likely to be alignment issues that would bother those of you that are anal about these things.
The rotor would state Christopher Ward as shown below. A custom rotor is not recommended as this would be at significant cost. Custom engraving can be done on the case back.
Here is a photo of a prototype C60 case back. Pleae draw no inferences from the printing on this. It is simply a prototype.

I completely agree with you. I fall in that category.Kip wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2019 12:34 am

I'm for the see thru back, but not the front.

That's great news Kip. Thank you.
I'm in for the display caseback.
Small point on the prototype drawing. I presume the He release valve is for illustration purposes only.

This is looking better and better. A display back is making this even more appealing.

Thanks for looking into that Kip. It looks great!
I would definitely vote for having that option and if WR and price difference are negligible I can't see too many being against it.

The rotor does not need to be too fancy but having Christopher Ward on it would be good as the pic above.

GMT, two-tone ceramic bezel, exhibition case-back are all great differentiators for a FLE. But I think even with all of these, a white face is too similar to some of the previous tridents, and also sailing close to the CWE LE (especially with applied flags and red second hand).
Rich.

Sadly, at least from my point of view, the FLE is moving inevitably towards a GMT. Is there any chance the CWL will produce the blue case model as a non FLE option? I hope so.

Yes but it was very very popular and even now many are still after one. Black face is also much to similar to previous tridents. At the moment we do not know where the CWE LE is going.biggus_richus wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2019 9:39 am GMT, two-tone ceramic bezel, exhibition case-back are all great differentiators for a FLE. That puts me even more in. Thanks Kip. Agree about the device print as misalignment would be too much! Smoked rather than completely clear may be interesting. But I'm just chuffed at having an exhibition back and not at the expense of WR!

This looks like the back from the upcoming C60 Trident Apex (not sure about the exact name) the HE release valve and the titanium engraving informed this guess. Both are present on the the current C60 Trident Elite 1000 that the Apex might be based on? I assume the FLE I will be a steel watch?Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:That's great news Kip. Thank you.

Currently the FLE #8 is to be a steel watchMcDaWisel wrote:This looks like the back from the upcoming C60 Trident Apex (not sure about the exact name) the HE release valve and the titanium engraving informed this guess.
