Another one-watch trip - the great C60 GMT!
Just got back from a quick week away in Zante. I didn’t take many pictures as I have been before to the same hotel, and in the company of my now constant travelling companion the C60 Trident 600 GMT.
Just a few little highlights. Oh, and the watch ran +10s for the week. It likes constant wear and warm weather.

That scenery looks beautiful, and what accuracy from your Trident GMT....sounds like a perfect holiday.

Is the GMT hand meant to be aligned with the statue's, err, not hand...?

Lovely looking holiday Steve but, presumably, all over far too quickly.

No summer holiday for me this year so I’ll just have to enjoy your lovely photographs.
Nice watch too!

I though we were playing spot the CW in the first five images. It looks like a lovely place to go on holiday and I hope you had a great time. The C60 GMT seems to be a great traveling companion. I'll be using my C8 UTC on my next two trips to Blighty as I won't be going anywhere close to the sea. Thanks for posting some lovely images.

I missed your post here until just now. What superb images these are!
Thank you for sharing them.
I can see this GMT now pulling on your wrist, trying to drag you back out there again.

Re: Another one-watch trip - the great C60 GMT!
Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, I am slightly cross with myself that I only booked one week – should’ve done two!
I bought the GMT from a forum member in May of last year, intending to use it as my only travel watch. Since then it has been on five trips and I have to say it is brilliantly fit for purpose. It’s large, thick and heavy but you really don’t notice it in places where you can dress very casually. Added to which, the bracelet is superb and being adjustable to 5 positions is really a bonus during hot weather when your wrist can tend to swell a bit later in the day.
The images were just taken with a bog standard iPhone using the Camera+ app. But the colours and lights are just so wonderful that it’s really easy to take good pictures.

Re: Another one-watch trip - the great C60 GMT!
It was, Steve. Simple little hotel 100 m from the beach and a three minute walk from the town, really nice rooms and good food and drink! Having been on my own for quite a long time I have used a singles holiday company for a number of years and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone in my position. You never quite know who you are going to meet but it’s always pretty sociable and you don’t have to cope with the dreaded table for one! I have been with them to Turkey, Greece and Cyprus many times, as well as to the Canaries, Portugal and Tunisia. I have already booked my annual fortnight in Cyprus over Christmas and New Year – it certainly beats Christmas in the UK from my point of view.

Great stuff!
I’ve just got back from a week in Bowness. It was a one watch affair for me too. The Seiko SKX11 (Orange dial). Whilst the weather wasn’t quite like your hol, it was pretty darned warm, nonetheless.

As you say, Patrick, the watch does very well indeed and I now trust it enough not to feel I have to keep checking it every day. Mind you, on this kind of trip I’m quite happy for it to be pointing vaguely in the approximate direction of the reasonably correct minute – -ish!Thegreyman wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2019 7:18 pm That scenery looks beautiful, and what accuracy from your Trident GMT....sounds like a perfect holiday.

Haha true, there’s only one time each day on holiday that you need to know - when it’s time for the first beer/wine/G & T of the day.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2019 7:43 pmAs you say, Patrick, the watch does very well indeed and I now trust it enough not to feel I have to keep checking it every day.
