Looking forward to seeing the 007 cars and garages that Red Bull are running out this weekend .
They'll have to go some way to beat the Pink Pig and Rothmans Porsches from Le Mans a couple of years ago.

The whole Rich Energy thing is hilarious. I can't wait for it to all come out and Storey is ridiculed. The guy is a liability.

Predictions for qualy and the race this weekend?

I expect the medium/fast corner speed of Mercedes and Red Bull to reign over the slippery Ferraris so...

A second brilliant GP in a row. Lucky safety car for Lewis, but well taken win. Grabbing fastest lap on the last lap with old hard tyres was just Lewis rubbing it and showing he was easily the fastest driver and car today.

Yeah great race, I think even without the safety car he had the measure of his only other contender today in the sister car.

Vettel out at the end of the season through a mutual agreement with Ferrari? He's 100 points behind Hamilton now and Leclerc is showing his class wheel to wheel with Verstappen. It was gutting for Ferrari to prioritise Vettel in the safety car pit stops.

Yes I can see that. Ferrari would end up with Leclerc as a clear number 1 which they like, they could then take a good but not great driver as their number 2.

The question would be where would Vetel go next? I can't see him at Mercedes or Red Bull, so that only leaves a midfield team like Renault or Alfa Romeo. Maybe the rumours are correct and he will retire.

The F1 silly season has started! Pierre Gasley will be replaced by Alex Albon at Red Bull:

Interesting that Daniil Kvyat has not been moved back to the main team, Alex is clearly seen as a future star.

I think I will go with the same as I predicted last season:

1. Hamilton, 2. Vettel, 3. Verstappen (assuming the Honda engine will be half decent).
1-2-3 prediction as above, can't change my mind from 7th Jan when I predicted that.

Most poles: Hamilton

Fired: Paddy Lowe
I think I'm claiming the first to be fired title...ok he wasn't a driver

I must confess I didn't realise good old Max, who has a legion of Dutch fans, is in fact Belgian and opted to be Dutch as he felt more dutch than Belgian!

From Wikipedia
Although Verstappen has a Belgian mother, was born in Belgium and resided in Bree, Belgium, he decided to compete with a Dutch racing licence because he "feels more Dutch", spent more time with his father than with his mother owing to his karting activities, and was always surrounded by Dutch people while growing up in Maaseik, a Belgian town at the Dutch border.

But has Gasly been "fired"? Transferred, swapped, demoted ? He's still got a drive in the Toro Rosso team - I'd be happy with that (except I don't like driving over 100mph)
