Re: CWL of the day
Still this but back on the bond NATO. Must look into getting one with matching hardware.

Re: CWL of the day
C60 Trident Elite 1000 on CW Khaki NATO.
It's been sitting on a winder for the last week and, checking the timekeeping as best I can, in that time it is + 1sec (for the week, in fact since I set it two weeks ago).
One thing I have learnt, with all the current discussion about sloppy bezels on the C60 Trident Mk3, is that the bezel on mine is smooth and light enough that it can be turned comfortably between thumb and little finger or just by placing the palm of my hand flat on the crystal / bezel and being able to turn the bezel.
There is only one other brand / watch that I know where this can be done, which is the Elliot Brown Holton Professional.
Top notch.

After conducting extensive field experiments I can confirm that the following watches also have bezels that can be turned comfortably between thumb and little finger or just by placing the palm of my hand flat on the crystal/bezel and being able to turn the bezel:Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 11:15 am C60 Trident Elite 1000 on CW Khaki NATO.

The bezel on the 114060 does have a very very slight downward movement when pressure is applied, which means it moves easier using the “palm” method, than the “thumb and little finger” method.
You may recall that the SKX009 in question used to belong to a chap, who has just bought a Type XX.
Having had a 100% success rate on the watches I sampled I am prepared to say that “I know of no other watches with twisty bezels that it doesn’t apply to.” ***
*** Not likely to be an accurate statement, but since when has everything we read on the internet ever been true!
Have you tried the experiment, with the bezel on your Type XX?

Of course its mostly a matter of personal experience.nbg wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 9:26 pmAfter conducting extensive field experiments I can confirm that the following watches also have bezels that can be turned comfortably between thumb and little finger or just by placing the palm of my hand flat on the crystal/bezel and being able to turn the bezel:Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 11:15 am .

Interesting research and comments Neil. Glad the SKX009 passed the test.
I did a quick check of my two C60 Trident MkII COSC (SH21), as clear comparators to the Mk3, before passing comment. Both of those need a firm grip with thumb and fore / index finger; not a chance with the little finger. Intrigued that your MkII is different.
The Type XX?
Fails both the little finger and palm test. Needs a good firm grip to turn the bezel which has a definitive 'clunk' to the notches; plus it has a noticeable degree (c. 0.5mm) of rotational free play (when tested). No complaints; it is what it is.
