Ahh, but you can only see half of it... it’s actually a pair of handcuffs with a watch attached so you can time your incarceration :?

Regarding why they bother the Invicta one in the OP is of a similar design to the Agat Zlatoust Russian divers watch, there are quite a few Russian watches similar out there. Corum have been doing out there designs on their bubble watches for years as have RM. B&R have loads of these square case skull watches which sell well, Steinhard did a similar watch that sold out almost immediately so there clearly is a market for them. A lot of it especially on higher end watches is just a what can we do on a watch?
