Re: Mühle Glashütte
Nice watches.
FYI (sorry if you already know this), Glashütte was the birthplace of German watchmaking, and its history includes marques such as Lange.
Being in Saxony, the town came under the old DDR, so most of the companies based there are new (like Nomos) or re-foundations post-reunification.
Mühle is an old family company re-founded in 1994.

Re: Mühle Glashüttte
I think that’s my watch you saw. They do some nice pieces and I would say they fall under the german “form follows function” type of watches like Sinn, Damasko, etc... usually ETA / Sellita movements. Prices above Christopher Ward but well below Swiss counterparts, so good value generally, if not as good as CW...
They don’t sell direct, but there are a few ADs in the UK and there are also a bunch on chrono24 (where I got mine from a German AD as they don’t have ADs in Ireland and the UK distributor wouldn’t do any discounts )
I can’t wear stainless steel due to a nickel allergy and the Lunova tag/datum is the only Titanium dress watch I have found that I like where the back, the crown, the screws on the back and the buckle are made out of Titanium as well.
They also have a really nice Titanium Seabatallion diver with GMT function, but Christopher Ward is my go to for divers.
Here some more pics:

Which one did it put you on and off? People seem to be going both ways with this one!stobievulture wrote:reading a fascinating story on watchuseek about Muhle and Nomos (who are quite liked on here).....

Re: Mühle Glashüttte
Guy is correct in that I do have the Seabataillon, aka ze tooly German.
It is light, extremely accurate, easy to read, great quality and built like a tank.
There is nothing out there quite like it, and when I was tempted to replace it with an IWC Aquatimer, I decided to keep the Muhle. (Which I think says it all) Sent from my Redmi Note 6 Pro using Tapatalk

Re: Mühle Glashüttte
I have a Muhle Pro Mare. It's a lovely watch, very well made, extremely well regulated, very classyn and with great lume. It's 44mm in diameter but wears larger because it has no bezel and very long lugs. I'm going through a reduce the collection phase and this is one that I will reluctantly part with. Then I suppose I'll have to buy another Muhle...

Re: Mühle Glashüttte
Mühle make a number of very nice watches and have started developing their own movements now, which look very interesting. The SAR is an iconic model, worth checking out. Rubber bezel and cyclops - if you like them, which I do.
Have fun.

Re: Mühle Glashüttte
I think that what Muhle is doing is quite impressive for the price point. As well as the in-house movements, they do more customization on standard ETA/Selitta movements than many manufacturers charging much more do to the same movements. Every movement is stripped and rebuilt in-house, including custom finishing, the Muhle regulator, and a Muhle-specific rotor, and regulated to -0/+8 or better.
Whenever I've looked at Muhle, I've come away impressed. The Terrasport and 29er have been on my radar more than once.

Re: Mühle Glashüttte
I have looked through their website and I must say that for me they are a bit like Oris – absolutely nothing I could take exception to but then again nothing that jumps out at me.
