Nice pictures and I can see the value of the watch box especially for saving space. Most of mine are in the older style deluxe cream/black boxes which I do like but are difficult to store especially if you want to keep the watches in their individual box.

On my Mk 3 pro, the lume definitely lasts all night, and I can make out the time without my glasses (despite my eyesight not being the best). This said, my Breitling Colt Chronograph is much brighter in lume, and equally long lasting. I think that the Mk 3 does edge out the Oris Aquis for lume, while the bezel action on the Mk 3 is much superior.
That’s great to hear & interesting comparison amongst that particular trio. I too need to see the time through sleeping hours. Thanks

I have a few watches with the SW200 movement and the Elite feels a little rough to wind - I have a video here. The first 10-15 turns feel a little rough and uneven, then it becomes a little more steady. Is that normal behavior?

Thanks!
Does it sound like the rotor is turning as you wind it?

Sounds very similar to mine, had to send it straight back when I bought it at the start of last month only got it back today after having the reversing wheels cleaned and re lubricated.

Didn’t check for that, tried again now. It does seem to do that but just on the first and maybe second turn. The unevenness in the winding motion stays for 10-15 turns. But otherwise works perfectly and keeps perfect time.

Mine was really bad I could feel and hear it the first time I set the date and time and gave it a few turns to get it going.

So does anyone know if this rough winding is normal for our movements?

I wonder if there is extra gaskets and other waterproofing bits in the crown shaft that are the cause if this? This is the only watch I have with that depth rating so I have nothing to compare it to.

I would love to hear from more owners!

so one week on the wrist time for an update:

first the timekeeping,
according to my COSC report my watch runs fast 4 seconds on very hot days, in the first 2 days I got the watch it was very hot overhere and it indeed ran 2 seconds to fast per day and after 2 days I was around 4 seconds ahead. now that temperatures have cooled down back to 21 degrees celcius the watch has ran one or two seconds slow resulting in a one second ahead of true time after one week of wearing. I am impressed to say the least.

as for the strap, it was definitely stiff for the first days, and it still is kinda stiff if I want to take the watch off. But it isn't uncomfortable anymore I have worn the watch pretty much 24/7 and I guess that's the way to get them to adapt to your wrist, I actually have a second one on order if this one gets damaged through the years.

as for the lume, I don't use lume very often so I am not an experienced lume judge haha, but in my opinion it's fine and it will last through most of the night as far as I've seen but it isn't glowing like a bulb or anything like that. it's only bright if you charge it with a flashlight, just from sitting in a lighted room before you go to bed isn't enough to make it glow like crazy, but is enough to make it legible.

so expect it to be legible that's my conclusion and guess that should be enough

as for attention the watch is definitely a looker, got multiple comments on the watch in just a week of time :D

I much enjoyed reading the threads of this topic, and thanks for sharing the excellent photos of your new watch Twan.
The Elite really does look the business, and I can see it being a winner.

This is what my C60 600 mk2 chronometer sounds like- which is the same movement as the Elite I believe. It's exactly the same as every other SW200 / 2824 watch I have (apart from my Tudor Ranger- that's admittedly a bit smoother).
