New C65 Trident Vintage Mk II
CW just launched a revised C65 Vintage, with the 'light-catcher' modified case.

Re: New C65 Trident Vintage Mk II
I can't see it breaking the internet i'm afraid, but then it's not really the type of watch I would go for.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

I like it, won't be replacing my current original in black though. In fact I was debating moving it on but probably not much point now!

Looks much better in a side view shot as you get to see the new case more.
Very understated other than that, which I suppose is CW's intention.
I know it's meant to be "Vintage" but IMO the vintaged look is a bit passe now. Let's be disruptive and have some nice bright white hands and markers soon please - if they're good enough for a Speedy surely they're good enough for a CW?

Re: New C65 Trident Vintage Mk II
Like the new case and bracelet on this style of watch.
Applied silver markers like the C65 auto diver would have lifted it, but a very decent effort nonetheless.
If this is what they run with for the aqua terra style watch that's been mentioned, it'd be preferable to have a screw-down crown which has seemingly disappeared with this mkII.
If this crown is anything like the C65 diver, it's a little too easy to pull out accidentally due to the size imo.

Unfortunately still with the same font/positioning of the brand name... another missed chance after so many changes in the past.
Re: New C65 Trident Vintage Mk II
I deliberately omitted that from my comments previously but have to agree despite probably being in a minority with you and maybe a few others.

Ooohh I’m liking that. Apart from the bigger centre link on the bracelet (prefer old oyster style), i’d be very tempted.
Throws a spanner in the works as I really want the C65 Diver.
Alas, it’s all on hold until the CS meltdown has been sorted.

Yeah, I’m liking that too. I’m a big fan of the Mk1 and the case seems to have evolved quite nicely although I prefer if they had retained the crown guard of the Mk1.
Surprised at the price point though - more than the C65 diver.

Re: New C65 Trident Vintage Mk II
My assumption is that this is largely an increase for the forthcoming C65 quick release bracelet. With this being +£35 over the existing bracelet, which I’d guess will disappear in time.

Re: New C65 Trident Vintage Mk II
While I like the addition of the twin flags on the dial, I prefer my Mk1 to the Mk2. I really like the crown guards and the screw down crown.

Re: New C65 Trident Vintage Mk II
So, it seems like mine in on pre-order...
My other half and I have our anniversary coming up and she has finally taken my horological hints! I was thinking of the original version so can’t wait to see how the Light-Catcher case works with this new design.
I also like the look of the other changes/upgrades - I am a huge fan of the the embossed logo at 12 o’clock on my other C65s (hoping logo size still works with the change in scale of the watch) and also like the idea of a push-in crown and hand-winding option without the faff (and potential wear) of unscrewing the crown. Again, so long as crown size is kept in reasonable proportion to the watch size, I think it will be a winner.
Apparently, mine will be coming on the bracelet so many quick-release options
Pics, of course, to follow when she eventually lands.

Re: New C65 Trident Vintage Mk II
I did own the C65 Vintage mk1 for a while until it fell victim to a consolidation exercise to part fund the Panerai. I think it is a nicely sized and very versatile watch which can be dressed up or down, on the bracelet or a variety of straps.
The mk2 looks very similar on first glance and a subtle evolution of the mk1. I do like the addition of the twin flags logo at 12, and the beautiful new C65 case is a great upgrade. Also the new bracelet is a winner with its micro adjustment and quick release. So if you buy on the bracelet and get yourself a couple of QR straps you can do the aforementioned dressing up or down of the watch so easily on a daily basis almost if you want without the usual hassle of getting out the Bergeon and the time that takes.
Great watch.
