CW assistance for C11 Extreme

Post by yuri9206 »

Hello to all.
Well, some days ago I saw inside my C11 Extreme 1000 some water. A little fog... and some drops. This after I washed my hands in the bathroom! Not diving!
I alert CW, they send me DHL to collect it and in one day my watch coming to CW from Italy. Well. After some days CW told me that watch need a new glass gasket and an inspection. Well again. Even if C11 is under warranty this work is not covered. How much repairing?
Hear me: 152.50 £
I found last CW bill: last year, same watch, CW replaced the glass, all the glass! I made on it a littlle chip, so I prefered to change the old glass. Price? 25 £ + 30 £ for 1 hour labour, more vat: total paid was 62,95 £. For all glass replaced! Not only a glass gasket replaced for 152.50 £
How this is possible? Not only. I asked to CW why the new glass was replaced without replacing the gasket too. I think: this, perhaps, is the problem now, after 1 year? Is a good work replacing glass and not replacing gasket? Is this the problem now, the past work?
Result is: the watch is made for 1000 meters diving and I not able to wash my hands!
Better: I can be able to dive with it... after pay 152.50 £ and wait 8 (eight) week!
Whats happens at the famous CW customers assistance???

After I'm bought over 10 CW watches I'm very very disappointed.
Wera where you are???????????????????

Have you discussed this with CW? Something not right - not right at all!

It would indeed be disappointing if CW does not take responsibility for a gasket leak after they replaced the crystal. Definitely does not seem right.

Hi, Scott reply is very good. After spoken to the technicians, and looked at previous repair notes Scott confirm that this repair will be covered under past warranty. So they change gaskets for free.
Now I'm waiting repair.
This is a very professional answer by CW assistance :D

I think this post suggests that maybe, just maybe, new problems arising, such as described in this thread are being dealt with by the new CS processing arrangements, whereas those already in old system, stay in the old system. Otherwise it makes no sense that those chasing old problems as seen elsewhere in the forum, still seem to be at the back of the queue? Just a thought.

Good news indeed. A positive answer from Scott, and very timely communication. Here is hoping that this is the result of the new process, and they can clean up some of the other outstanding issues that we have heard about lately.

I wonder if the extra charge this time, was to disassemble and remedy any moisture damage? If you saw fogging inside, I’d hope that they’d put that right rather than just replace the gasket!
