well... to be fair, this survey covers a tiny slice of the CWL customer base. we're talking about 109 votes.Watching wrote:These survey results might be even more useful when it comes to watch sizes for CW. Should the CW customer base mostly have 6.5" wrists, then dinner plate sized watches aren't going to cut it for future watch models

No worse than a national survey that covers a tiny slice of the population.

Re: What size is your wrist size?
I'm surprised my 7.25-7.5 is in the top 50%. Always thought I had thin wrists; but I guess I'm not thin any more.
I have always worn small watches; 39mm C5 auto mkII was probably the largest. Always dress or field watches, have never cared for divers. Then, on a whim a few weeks ago, I bought the big Maratac pilot, something I wouldn't care if I wrecked it doing yard work.
WOW, I like how it wears. I guess I'm going to have to look into some large casual watches. Maybe a nicer large pilot (C8?) instead of a smallish field watch. Though if somebody came out with a decent wire lug WWI "trench" commemorative I would be all over it.

Re: What size is your wrist size?
Man, I always thought I had really skinny wrists at 6.6 inches, turns out I am in the majority range.
My comfort zone is 38-41mm and below 49mm lug to lug.
I am looking forward to the release of the 40mm Jumping hour.

Re: What size is your wrist size?
I found this survey (link here) interesting:
Average wrist size: 6.74"
The ideal watch diameter size: 37.77mm
The ideal diameter for a sports watch: 39.28mm
It was difficult to work out average wrist sizes from the original survey done in 2014 on the CW forum as the 6.5" (165mm) to 7.25" (184mm) was a big range and wasn't the same range as other options such as: 6.2 inches (157mm) to 6.5 inches (165mm)

No wonder, I have always gravitated towards chunky, wider watches...I have a 8.5 inch wrist. Anything under 40mm is way to small for me. Thus why dress watches don't usually work for me at that size. I tend to stay with sporty watches that have more wrist presence. I do find plenty of 40mm dress watches as an option as well.

Re: What size is your wrist size?
The CW aviation watches at 44mm must be ideal for you! But they must look like dinner plates on those with the average 6.74” wrists or less! My one CW Watch is a 42mm aviation style (C10 Aviator) which I find perfect for my 7.25” wrist.TP Fit wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 4:11 am No wonder, I have always gravitated towards chunky, wider watches...I have a 8.5 inch wrist. Re: What size is your wrist size?
You are correct! A CW Aviator is next but want to wait for the military/field watches that will come out in July.
Re: What size is your wrist size?
From the Facebook page poll back in March. 7.25” was the most common there.
Obviously a different sample and not mutually exclusive so there will be some overlap.

Re: What size is your wrist size?
I'm usually near the smallest hole on CW straps. But for me, the attractive 38mm watch offerings are what keep me and the straps can be sorted later. It would be great to have well fitting straps right from the start though for those of us with smaller wrists.
