I’ve been looking at this as well, very nice and reasonably priced.

Would make an interesting design starting point for a C65 chrono... (with less obtrusive pushers)

That Hamilton is gorgeous in almost every way, the dial is to die for.

If I could improve it, possibly a mm or two less height and lug to lug length. Also the crown is a little oversized and the pushers protrude a touch but all that is nitpicking really :cuinlove:

The dial is a real beauty and at 40mm a decent size. And not too bad a price really for something good looking.

The pushers are a bit too prominent though and maybe might have looked better with some guards similar to those on the Moonwatch. Plus of course the Valjoux movement was always going to make it a bit thick and you'll have to love the "wobble" from this movement as you will feel it.

Stick that on a nice mesh bracelet and it’d be stunning.

If you asked me to design my ideal bicompax chrono, it would look a lot like this. I'd say Hamilton got pretty much everything right. It's a bit thick, but it can't be much thinner with a Valjoux movement, and the lugs are a couple of mm too long for small wrists, but damn, it's gorgeous!

I like the look of it, even the sticky out Chrono pushers.

Thickness is fine too; it's a 7750 / 7753 after all.

Just need + 2-3mm on the case and lug2lug.

I'm still loving the look of this Hamilton that Malcolm posted to open this thread.

And for you Guy, did you know they did an LE version, the Intra Matic 68 in 42mm, so answering your requirements of a few mm larger

Thinking that the pushers being a bit tall, and no crown guard give the whole thing a real "retro" feel. Exactly what they were going for. Very nice.

Thanks for the suggestion Patrick.

Nice as it is, I think I'll concentrate on the Aviator genre.

Lovely but just needs to be a few mm bigger.

I like the aviators too, as my other thread shows.

Had a spare hour this afternoon so popped into a couple of Hamilton AD's and fortunate enough to find all 3 version of the Intra-matic. The first two are the 40mm non LE versions and the reverse Panda is the "68" LE of 1968 pieces which is in a larger 42mm size.

What was slightly surprising is that the 42mm didn't feel that much bigger on the wrist than the 40mm versions, possibly due to the height (quite tall being an Valjoux/ETA 7753 or a similar lug to lug measurement. Also surprising that the RRP of all 3 models is the same at £1,930.

Very tempting but resisted...for now :)

Very cool. Which version was your favorite?
