Absolutely.
My dad would have approved having been in the 6th Airborne.
That said he never did learn how to drive a car nor ride a motorbike.
Actually they are pretty knobbly.

I knew that.
No pictures from my ride today. It involved a visit to the Kawasaki dealer for the 600 mile check-up/oil change, together with the tail-end surgery. It also involved a three and half hour wait.

No, just a “tail-tidy” - basically a modified rear section that is reduced in length and looks a bit neater/less plasticky.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:Tail end surgery?downer wrote:I knew that.

Not the best pictures but here’s my bike (as standard), followed by the dealer demo that has had the tail-tidy fitted:
It’ll take an anorak to spot the difference.

Scooter, have you any thoughts/plans to ditch the plates?

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride
I've been on L plates since 1970 although most recently since my last 6 CBTs.
If I was lucky enough to pass a test I would probably buy a bigger bike and kill myself.
To be honest the plates of shame don't bother me in the slightest as I ride for enjoyment only.
These days 107 kgs is all that I can manoeuvre around when off the bike.

No shame at all! You enjoy riding; and how you do that, and on what, is no-one's business but your own. I wonder if there are any side benefits of a full license- cheaper insurance, wider bike choices (focussing on comfort rather than performance), training or touring opportunities.

I'm sure all that you have mentioned is probably the case.
If truth be known I should have taken the test in 1970 at 17. It would have been easier then.
Have to say that I do admire your R1200GS, an absolute cracker.

Early evening ride on the Focus.
I wasn't sure if I could make it with the back playing up but I got in a 22 miler.
Result.
