Trident GMT: misaligned hand ?

Post by Blackdog »

I never owned a 2893 based watch before, now I'm awaiting delivery of a MK3.

I've read about quite a few cases of GMT hands coming, or getting, misaligned on other watches using this movement, like the Steinharts.

Is this something that CW users have observed too ? Just curious...

Both my CW & my Steiny Vintage GMTs are fine - over a year in regular use ...

Mine became mis aligned when I dropped it on a concrete floor! I would advise against doing that and you’ll be fine  :D

It has been reported (very infrequently) on here, but I think it is pretty much always down to mis-handling in the postal system - same as for other brands.

More or less any watch can acquire mis-aligned hands for a variety of "shocking" reasons and it's usually an easy fix.

Since I acquired it about a year ago my C60 has been on four trips and included a spectacular stumble (sober!) where I sprained my left wrist. It has behaved impeccably.

Very nice, congrats. But, as I like to be a little ‘controversial’ at times, I would have preferred it with the old ‘Hybrid’ Bezel :silent: :silent:
