New oak leather C2/C20 Lido straps in stock

Post by Clach77 »

Heads up if anyone is interested. There is a small quantity of brown and black C2/C20 straps in Maidenhead. They are in stock, but won’t (probably) appear on the website. If you want one, you’ll need to place an order over the phone.

I’ve just done so, and Scott is happy for this information to be shared.

Thanks for the heads up Alex; very valuable information.

Are they original NOS or the fabled 'new edition'?

Is the leather plain finish or Croc grain?

Too many questions to which i don’t know the answer.

I assume that as they were described as Oak Leather, they will be like the fabled ‘new’ edition. I have one and love how it looks on my prototype C2FLE. I’ve now bought a spare. Or two.

Cheers Alex. Got a feeling I'll be sending an email to Scott this evening.

I bought one in brown early last year. I love the strap options on the C20 as I've never liked the bracelet with this watch. The case is all brushed while the bracelet was polished and even featured a different type of brushing. Maybe it's better in person but it stands out in every picture I see of it. :o

Sorry, I should have been clearer. This is one I’ve had for a while. I’ve clearly knocked it on something. The new ones have not arrived yet.

Why bother with an email?

Phoned CW yesterday afternoon, spoke with Rob and got two straps (black + brown) bought.

Should be with me sometime next week.

Here you go Barry: new straps delivered today.

I use an old butterfly claps on mine rather than a tang buckle. It keeps all logos the same.

The two straps were delivered with two sets of bars and screws.

thanks for posting. The shade of brown looks lighter than on the website, so might opt for the black one this time. I've also kept all the hardware from the previous strap fortunately.

I haven't seen (can't find) these straps on CW's website.

However I had two brown ones arrive on Saturday.

Colour I suggest is just on the dark side of mid-brown; sort of a milky mid-strength coffee colour.

I meant the other brown oak leather straps on the website, but that's probably the picture. You're right these are not on the website.
