Looking at the pics, CW appear to have adopted a credit card type of warranty card.

Why would you put this watch on eBay? I'm confused :?

Looking at the serial number, I'd say that it could be a press sample.

I agree Richard.

Very similar format / number to our Review watch, unless CW have changed their format.

Just out of interest - what happens to the press samples? Given away or can press purchase them ? ? Do they have the standard 60months warranty?

I have no clue. I know the sample that Guy and I reviewed will be returned to CW, put through a 'refurb' process and sent to our prize-winner with a full warranty, but I have no idea about other sample watches.

The guy off Bark and Jack was allowed to keep his review watch and his conclusion was that he wouldn't have bought it himself...?!?!?!

Would a press sample have a card dated May 1st including a receipt?

It’s gone now. The seller’s email was visible in one of the photos.

Bark & Jack reviewed a GMT, so it’s not him.

Bark and Jack also said he'd keep the watch. I'd never seen a B&J review before and he seemed very conflicted about CW. Still if he liked it enough to keep it then it can't be too bad can it.

When reviewers can keep the watch, it becomes a paid review or sponsored content. It showed these 'influencers' all put quite some time in the teasers and reviews so I wonder if there is any additional compensation besides a watch they can sell. It is just bad practice these reviewers don't disclose this with their reviews.

Rice & Gravy wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 5:42 pm They've sold 38 and the larger size for years, so 40mm is a departure for them. They know 38 and 42 sell relatively well, so it makes sense they would test the waters with the just the black 40mm to see how it does before committing to a full range of colors in that size, especially in a new version. I'll say it again, I'd be shocked if we don't see 40mm in other colors in a couple months.
Yep, it makes good sense, especially at launch when colours on the 38 and 42 are also limited. But you know what CW are like: more colours and combinations will be coming over the hill.
