From the online photos I'm not supposed to have seen I'm bound to form an opinion.
I accept that I might be twice the age of CW's target ideal trendy young woke (if that's even a noun at all) but these hands do nothing for me and I shall remain an admirer of the definitive C60 handset.
Any of you guys planning to flip a C60 pre-III in white dial / black bezel or GMT? Or maybe even a C60 COSC for the third time....I'm here to make your next purchase easier.
I’m inclined to agree. Surprising that the 40mm only features in the Pro.
Anyone know how the new 42mm compares with the old 43mm size-wise? (I mean l2l and how it wears on the wrist rather than the obvious answer of it being 1mm smaller )
Depending on how one measured the MK2 was originally catalogued as a 42mm case. IIRC it was the bezel size that prompted a re-catalogue to 43mm. I believe it will come down to perception of the new design, but physically Mk3 = Mk2.
IIRC the Mk2 was always marketed as 43mm. It was the Mk1 which was initially marketed as 42mm but this was then corrected to 43mm. This topic came up with Chris Ward when I was chatting to him at the Manchester GTG.
The Mk3 really is 42mm, ie it really is smaller than the Mk2. The difference is subtle but noticeable, particularly combined with how the Mk3 wears much slimmer than the Mk2. It feels like the perfect size for a diver IMHO. In contrast, the 40mm version felt a little small, but i still expect it to be very popular and for further 40mm variations to come forth once the black one proves its popularity.
I am now confused, but maybe it comes down to what is called mk1, mk2 and then brings in New Logo/Old logo. Going from Kip's cheat sheet, all the models called "42" were actually 43mm and the case did not change for what were called "43". Example: I have a November 2015 Trident designated C60-42-AUTO-SWRK which actually measures 43mm and is the same case as later 43mm models.
Perhaps Kip could chime in on this one?
But whatever, if the Mk3 case really is smaller than the current case, so be it.

You're correct that for previous models anything described as 42mm was actually 43mm. But the new Mk3 42mm really is 42mm (not 43mm). Hope that makes sense.
The new logo came in halfway through the Mk2's life.

Yeah, that was my understanding. But the Trident is dead, long live the Trident - or something like that....42mm (and others) is the number to beat.

Will there be a Titanium GMT? I would buy that immediately. Full titanium is very hard to find in any brand (other than Omega where prices start at about 9k new)...

Keep an eye out on Hamtun Watches later this year, I have a feeling that Ross will be offering a Titanium GMT as one of his projects for 2020
I don't like how the bottom end of the minute hand is so close to the lume area of the hour hand.
Unless it's an optical illusion, it's pretty much touching in this shot, and another 5 minutes might see the corner actually overhanging a bit.
I feel that the hour hand needs to have an extra few millimeters before the arrow head starts.
It kind of looks like someone has modded the watch and chosen an hour hand that's slightly too short - or they've put the hour hand under the minute hand when it should've gone on top.
That looks like the wrong hour hand destined for a smaller case size. Too short for the hour marker track and the overhanging minute hand. I do hope production models tighten up on these details.
