Questions - Chat with Chris - Manchester GTG - 27th April 2019

Post by Bahnstormer_vRS »

Details for the Manchester GTG & 'Chat with Chris' are posted here

Within the GTG, it is anticipated that we will have a session for the 'Chat with Chris' which will give the opportunity for questions to be put to the three Co-Founders of CW; Mike France, Peter Ellis and Chris Ward.

It is planned for the Chat with Chris element of the GTG to be video'd, with improvements to the audio setup (compared with the Edinburgh GTG), and live streamed on YouTube.

Please post your questions for the "Chat with Chris" in this topic/thread, by end of the day Sunday 21st April.

If a question is posted that you would also like to ask, simply quote it and add +1 or +2 etc...

Whilst there will be the opportunity for questions to come from the floor i.e. to be put by those attending, I intend to ask as many questions as time allows submitted by forum members in this topic.

Finally, please limit this topic to questions only. No discussions please.

Any information on the design for the C60 Apex and it's intended release date and any ideas of release dates for the other Apex models?

Cheers

1, What plans are there for a bronze Mk3 C60?

2, Is there any further info on the rumoured C65 chrono?

Based on the models being cleared out in the January / Spring sales, it looks like the motorsport and aviation lines have become pretty limited with their offerings. Are you anticipating new releases within these categories and if so, are they expected to be variances of the current models or a complete redesign? i.e. new cases and dial elements.

1. Why have you cancelled the Cambridge GTG and replaced with yet another one in the London area.

Hi Guy,

Here are a few from me:

(1) What lug width will the 40mm C60 MkIII be: 20mm or 22mm?

(2) Any more new colors planned for the C65 Automatic and C65 GMT? The Khaki green from the C65 Diver would be my vote for both.

Thanks for all you do Guy!
Best regards,
John

One question from me and it is based on a recent scan of the CW site and the absence of availability of 38mm C65 Trident Vintage, 38mm C60 600s (aside from bronze) and 38mm C60 300s.

Question: Will CW continue to produce diver/sports watches in sizes under 40mm, and will there ever be an in-house, COSC movement in this size?

Thanks,

C

I’m interested in the ‘Aqua Terra Competitor’ that was briefly mentioned at the Edinburgh GTG. If there is any other info yet on this I’d appreciate it please.

A couple of Qs.

Please could Chris explain the relationship between SH and Meistersinger, and how is that projected to change?

I see that their SH21 movements aren't COSC, will all CWs SH21 equipped watches continue to be COSC?

I understand that future developments are not necessarily for public consumption; but is there any likelihood of a Chronograph SH21?
There's always time for one more.

Any possibility of a COSC day-date SH21? Tip top would be with Power Reserve!

Thanks Guy.

All SH21 movements for CW are COSC certified. It would appear that Meistersinger does not request COSC. I do not expect CW to change.
