Shocking repair time
Re: Shocking repair time
I had exactly the same "it's in QC" conversation last Monday and was assured my watch would be with me by the end of the week. It wasn't, and i have not yet had the despatched email. Another call in the morning!!!

Re: Shocking repair time
^^^ I’ve left 2 messages so going to give them Monday to reply.
If they don’t then an irate call on Tuesday.
Hopefully they’ll call me back.

Re: Shocking repair time
C1 GMPR update.
Has been despatched today arriving tomorrow. Week 9 and can’t wait.
unfortunately I can’t wear it yet as I’ll carry out my own QC by fully winding it and resting it to check 5 day reserve. Then the big test, making sure it rewinds! Fingers crosssed.
How did YOU get on Chris?

Wouldn't it be better and easier to give it a short wind to get it going (if it's not running on arrival which it may well be) and then wear it, to check the automatic winding, and bring it up to fully wound? Shouldn't take too long.
Then rest it to check the 5 day power reserve is 5 days.

Re: Shocking repair time
Ok if you lot do insist!
Gotta get it off my chest I suppose.
1) Case was scratched on bezel. Looks like a tool scratch.
2) No note whatsoever of the work/repair they carried out.
Just spoke to Robert in CS.
it’s going back. 9 weeks and counting.
To his credit he said they’ll polish or re-case it. Also chase the technicians notes from Biel.
My first time with this brand ain’t going to well chaps.

Re: Shocking repair time
sadly nothing surprises me nowdays! What a sorry old tale. No doubt someone will be along shortly to reassure you that they will sort it all out ok.
Cheers now, Paul
