Re: Parts for back catalogue watches
No I think your confusing it with Rolex:
“You never own a desirable in demand Rolex Professional model, you just pass your place on the waiting list to the next generation.....”

You're not wrong Richard.kiter65 wrote:Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m sure I’ve seen adverts from CW in the past about buying their watches for life/passing down to the next generation....how can you if they are no parts to repair a couple of year old watch
They used to advertise, possibly in the handbook, that they will always keep parts for older models.

From the C70 Grand Prix Manual (2009-2011)
"Should you need a replacement part - don’t worry, we keep stocks of spare parts for years, even for
discontinued models."

Re: Parts for back catalogue watches
Well it seems my OP has created some lively debate/interest which is a good thing.
Im hoping if the item was a movement part or core case element that CW would be able to address it. Thankfully that's not the case (excuse the pun), I haven't needed any operational repair and Im happily wearing a fully functional watch albeit with a chipped bezel that I was aware of as a 'feature' of this model prior to purchase.
I may not be handing this one down but I will the 2 C9s, to my son who shares the Harrison name . Unless something drastic happens, any watches of value I may have will be sold off long before then if the pension fund continues to perform as it has to date
