Thanks Guy.. no nothing wrong at all really, was being bit tongue in cheek. its 2nd Skoda ive had.. 1st being..yes you guessed, a VRS (estate).. one of the best all-round cars ive owned ever..
MK5 is quite okd school feeling and better for it. Makes me smile often!
TBH porker was fab but its just too capable and fast on the road so never really got to fully enjoy it to potential.

I didn't realise there was a phev countryman. Interesting. It is certainly a bit of a beast and looks rather splendid in the battleship grey.

Haven’t booted it yet as it’s not run in but it’s 221bhp and about 6.7 to 62mph

We've been / are on similar paths.

I had a modded '07 Octavia vRS TDI hatch from new which was great fun, bit skittish in the wet with the torque available. Moved onto my current Yeti, again modded, but DSG and 4WD.

On the porker front, I've got a good friend who is abroad for the winter and has a 911 Carrera Turbo S (PDK,4WD) for which I've got the keys and instructions to give it a run now and then. As you say "just too capable and fast on the road so never really got to fully enjoy it to potential."

 Guy, I tried for years to get my mum out of a Golf and into a Yeti... very good at nearly everything and driving position/headroom that would really work for her dodgy back!

We've just ordered one of these (although a 3 door) for my wife, being built for delivery in early June. Fiesta ST3 with a full complement of discounted options.

I never thought we'd be excited about having a 1.5 litre 3 cylinder engine!
