If you don't want to get new cuffs, what about the CW 595?

:bäh: Can’t abide double cuffs. Or suits for that matter.

Depends what you do for a living.
Think nicely tailored shirts and suits look and feel smart/sharp.
And with a nice watch on...... looking good. 👍

I spent 18 years in a suit and tie, never again! Not being able to get off the peg suits puts you off too.

At the risk of sounding like a stuck record (tick), a stuck record (tick), a stuck r....

Decent shirt/s with double cuffs and proper cufflinks with a chain link.

As to which watch, stick with your Grand Malvern (in ultimate terms it's only of average thickness) and invest in a black Cordovan strap for pucker formal wear, keeping your camel Cordovan for casual / every day wear.

Finally, worth mentioning that last time I needed a 'dress' watch, was for a Black Tie dinner last November. I used my C11 Makaira Extreme on black rubber strap; slipped neatly under my cuff.

For some reason i thought that only came with the rose gold case so discounted it. For me that's a much nicer design than the slimline

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions everyone. First decision made, i'm sending the CW watches back. Both very nice but not loving either so better to keep looking.
Assuming they will appear back in the 'Nearly New' section if anyone is interested in them.

Im afraid im not really adding, that C1 is such a perfect dress watch. I have managed both of my C9s under a double cuff.... the C1 would be 1st choice of your CW options, elegant, interesting, different.
Choice of cufflinks makes a bit of a difference as does make of shirt. When i used to spend a lot more on suits than now (hardly wear one now) I had a couple of shirts made with watch cuff on left (extra 10mm) and slightly larger cutaway ☺️ i feel a bit effete owning up to that. 😁

If I do wear a shirt, I never have cuffs fastened anyway, I always roll sleeves up a little.

I'd buy a plain black dial Skagen. I have 1 as my dress watch, no numbers, thin markers and hands. Looked great last time I wore it with formal evening suit at New Year.
Yes they're quartz but very slim, loads of choice, about £100.
If you're not wearing it much why pay out more.

They shouldn't end up in the Nearly New section as far as I am aware. CW will only accept the return if the watch is box fresh and unworn and as such, it may then be re-sold as new. Nearly New watches - "these watches are in ‘almost mint’ condition having been used as press and photography samples, so may have some light marks or wear." (Edit: unless you bought the watch as Nearly New in the first place, then ignore this!)

Personally I would have kept the black dial C5 auto or worn the C1 GM PR (which I think is a great looking watch) and bought a shirt with a wider cuff if it didn't fit under the cuff of your current shirt(s).

I personally don't bother with formal shirts with cufflinks (unless I'm wearing my kilt) as I find it too much of a faff getting the cufflinks on. So for work I just wear button sleeve shirts. Most of these have two buttons and sometimes I'd wear the left sleeve on the looser button to accomodate my watch, and the tighter set button on the right sleeve.

Surely you have a blazer over said shirt though?

Standards man, standards.

Next you will be telling me you don't dress for dinner.

I am a little horrified at the forumites laissez-faire attitude to dress in this thread!!!!
